Lots of things are happening at camp right now. We have twelve of our first staff members here for the lifeguard training course (which is being taught by Montreat College Professor, Dave Sperry). Program staff are hard at work getting the dust knocked off of offices that have not been used since last August. One of our climbers, Sam Latone, is taking a Wilderness First Aid course. Horses have begun to arrive and are being tended to by Jan. And of course, Robert Sulaski and his crack team of superheroes are at up at the Mark putting the finishing touches on that beautiful new pavilion. Here are some pictures of the progress:

The roof is almost complete

Seminole and Iroquois Chiefs!

Closet space is so valuable to us! I'm really happy.

Tall ceilings eh?
It is really happening people! Once again, Robert Sulaski is my hero.

He's not worried!!!
Guys, it is looking good. The weather has been holding off for us, the floor is laid, and as of today the beams are going up! We are all just a little giddy this afternoon. And as you can see from the opening photo, as usual, these guys are cool as cucumbers. Here are some more shots of the progress.

Getting power lines in place. Sorry soccer!

Beams all around

A side view of the Mark
Needless to say…At this point we are thrilled!

The Mark is looking good! What once looked like a field of spent landmines is now starting to look like a real camp building! It will be completed right before you all get here. You will be the first boys to experience The Mark!
