Today was the second day of activities and campers have started to get a head start on their bronze, silver, and gold bars. Hugues F. picked up a guitar today for the first time and then proceded to earn his bronze. An incredible task! The tennis classes played a game called touch the fence in which Peter D. and Cole J. emerged victorious. Older returning campers have been stepping up and helping out in their activites. For example: Peter D. taught basic strokes to fellow classmates today in swimming. Grant H. and Kennon S. are making great strides toward their bronzes and Andres E. is headed towards his bronze. Climbing was at the overhang today, an impressive vertical climb that curves outward for the last 20 feet. Alex D. and Hugues F. ascended this great beast with skill and speed. A mountain biking camp left today to Warren Wilson. Joe B., Hank B., Jahkeem A., Hugues F., Elliot B., and Beau A. flew down the trails with the careful guidance of counselor Matthey Grady. The skies were clear for most of the day and the view was great from wrestling where they learned the arm chop.

Backpacking took a trip out to Upper and Lower Creek Falls. At Upper Falls there is a sliding rock and a rope swing surrounding a beautiful swimming hole. The water was a bit chilly but there is nothing like swimming in pool surrounded by waterfalls. Andres E., Gabriel E., Louis P., Mauricio A.  All in all it was a gorgeous day at Camp Timberlake and everyone is ready to tackle new adventures tomorrow.
