Dear Parents,

A great session of Timberlake is under way! Each night, a member of our staff will write a short article keeping everyone update on all that is going here at camp. Additionally, we will post pictures twice a day featuring trips, daily activities, and evening activities.  It’s one of my favorite aspects of our program, as it allows us an opportunity to provide a “one-way mirror” for family and friends to see the amazing things our boys are doing here at camp.

Opening Day is a great day here at camp because it encompases many of the things that make Timberlake so special, as campers connect with old and new friends and begin to get excited about the adventures that lie ahead at Timberlake. As I write this, our boys are getting ready for bed in their cabins after what was a high intensity game of Sock War, one of our most famous evening activities. Earlier this afternoon, new campers were initiated into one of two great tribes here at camp, the Seminoles and Iroquois.

Our new Timberlake Iroquois are:

Evan F., Maddox N., Nikheil P., George C., Gavin B., Karl V.

Our new Timberlake Seminoles are:

Benjamin B., Max B., Harry D., Warren D., Liam Q., Nolan S., Harrison B., Ford S. IV, Charles V., Seth W., Jack B., Sam B., Chase G., Liam G., Lance H., Joseph L., Matthew L., Will M., Ben S., Durwin W., Andrew D..

It was an amazing day, but my favorite part was getting the chance to meet so many of you. Thank you so much for sharing your sons with us this summer. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such a fine group of young men, and to see them continue to grow and discover the ways that God has uniquely gifted each one of them. We have a great session ahead of us and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on each day’s activities.

Happy Camping!

John Menendez
