_46A2828smDear Parents,

We are off to a great start to session 3B here at Timberlake! Today was an action packed day full of fun times and new friends. Our boys started with the swim test, participated in Tribal Initiation, and played a rousing game of Sock War for evening activity. As I type this, our younger boys are getting ready for bed and our older campers discussing the epic Sock War strategies employed tonight, reuniting with old friendships and starting new ones sitting on the porches of their cabins under the North Carolina sky. It is wonderful to them them already forming bonds within both their cabins and tribes here at camp.

Our new Timberlake Iroquois are:

Cooper G., Connor G., Michael S., Reid C., Blake W., Adam B., Clark W., Benjamin L., James W., Michael A., Jake F. Zander E. and Ted Q.

Our new Timberlake Seminoles are:

Gary M., Rhett C., Eli M., Jack M. IV, Spencer V.G., Luke F., Jackson H., Zach C., Evan L., Alejandro P., James C. and Magne K.

It was an amazing day, but one of my favorite parts by far was getting the chance to meet so many of you. Thank you so much for sharing your sons with us this summer. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with such a fine group of young men, and to see them continue to grow and discover the ways that God has uniquely gifted each one of them. We have a great session ahead of us and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on each day’s activities.

Happy Camping!

John Menendez
