Tuesday morning started off chilly and misty here in the beautiful mountains, as campers began their day with a hearty breakfast of biscuits, eggs, and sausage in Tucker Inn. Today was another day of “firsts” – as everyone got the chance to try out their Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday schedules for the first time.

It was a jam-packed day – the fencing classes learned basic foot and blade-work, Ty M. worked on his bronze in swimming, and John K. began to work towards earning his bronze, too! The boys in pottery class are all excited to get on the wheel, and archery and riflery classes started practicing soon after completing their safety talks.

Lunch was a camp favorite…tacos in a bag! After a short rest and hanging out at trading post, campers got to enjoy the beautiful sunshine during a free swim! We blobbed, swam, and relaxed on the dock to kick off a great afternoon.

Parker C., Hank H., Joey W., Harper C., and Keegan K. had a blast skiing out on Lake James for the day.

Lance K., Christian S., Ford S., Alex W., Jack K., Harold B., Isaac L., David R., Jackson D., and William F. also took a day trip to hike and explore waterfalls!

Everyone reconvened for some barbeque chicken, and then wasted no time in heading out to evening activity…pirate ball! As I type this, nautical tunes, pirate hats, and lots of “arrrgghhs” fill the air as another great camp day comes to a close. Happy Tuesday!
