Session 3 at Camp Timberlake is off and running. As campers both new and old rolled onto property this morning there were smiles all around as boys tried out their new Timberlake buffs and met their cabin counselors.

This afternoon our boys took a dip in beautiful Lake Newcomb as they did their swim check and many were looking with anticipation at the blob, rope swing, and many other lake activities they will get to try at free swim. This afternoon we initiated all our first-year campers into their tribes. As they were welcomed with cheers and applause it was fun to see early connections being made and easy to see we will have a great competition for the banner this summer. If you’re not familiar with the banner, it’s the ultimate prize at camp and one that our tribes compete for throughout the entire session, earning points by winning nightly games.

A quick rain shower during dinner cooled things off and then the competition heated up as the boys played the most famous of all evening activities, Sock War.
